Michael Jackson's father, Joseph Jackson, refiled a wrongful death lawsuit on Tuesday in state court against Dr. Conrad Murray, reports The Associated Press.
Joseph Jackson originally filed a suit in federal court in June, but a judge declined to hear the case ruling that it should be handled in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The lawsuit accuses Dr. Murray of negligence in administering propofol to Michael Jackson. In addition, it also names Applied Pharmacy Services in Las Vegas. Court records show the pharmacy sold the drug to Murray nearly a month before the singer's death on June 25, 2009.
Authorities blamed propofol for the death of the 50-year-old King of Pop. Dr. Murray has pleaded not guilty to his charge of involuntary manslaughter, made after Michael Jackson died at his Los Angeles home from an overdose of the powerful anesthetic propofol and two other sedatives that were prescribed and administered by the physician at the time of his death.
