Kate Gosselin went on the "Today" show to clear up some reports that two of her 6-year-old sextuplets, Collin and Alexis, were expelled from a private school in Pennsylvania in November.

"That is false. They were not expelled from school. We have a situation where my kids are in an academically excelling school," she said according to E! News. She added that the pressure of academics combined with her divorce from the children's father, Jon Gosselin, was too much for the children to handle.

"The two collided and they just were not doing well with the combination," she said. "They were having anger issues, they were acting out, they were having behavior things."

Gosselin and her children, twins Cara and Mady and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Leah, Aaden, Collin and Joel, rose to fame with the TLC reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8", which featured her then-husband Jon. The show was canceled in 2009 following the couple's divorce and spurred a spinoff, "Kate Plus 8".TLC said the issue would not be addressed on the family's reality series.

Gosselin confirmed that the children are now homeschooled with a private tutor.

"I have them with a tutor," Gosselin said. "She's teaching them one-on-one and they are excelling, along with weekly therapy. My kids are back, they're happy, they're functioning, they're well. All is well again."

Gosselin adds, "The goal is prior to the end of this school year is to get them back into school and just giving them this time to take the pressure of a little bit and focus on schooling, but also dealing with the very normal results of a divorce."
