HENDERSON, Nev. --
A Las Vegas doctor who found the body of professional golfer Erica Blasberg after she committed suicide pleaded guilty to misdemeanor obstruction Wednesday.Blasberg, 25, was found dead May 9 in her Henderson, Nev. home with a bag over her head and traces of prescription drugs in her body. The Clark County coroner's office ruled the death a suicide.
Dr. Thomas Hess reportedly told authorities he removed a suicide note as well as prescription medication from Blasberg's home before police arrived to investigate. He said he wanted spare her family embarrassment.
He was sentenced to one year probation and 40 hours of community service.
