On Saturday, Sean "Diddy" Combs' latest project, a group called Diddy-Dirty Money, will make their "Saturday Night Live" stage debut.
The group features Combs and singers Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper. The "Saturday Night Live" episode is hosted by Robert De Niro, which made both singers a little star struck. "What's crazy is that Kalenna and I are both huge Robert De Niro fans and he's hosting," Richard told MTV. "We did get to speak in the hallway. We didn't get any pictures. We didn't want to be groupies or anything. We were inside groupies like, 'Oh my God, that's Robert De Niro!'"
Diddy-Dirty Money's debut album "Last Train to Paris" hits record stores on December 14. "December 14 is gonna be a really big day for us because it's not one year of saying, 'Oh, we're gonna just decide to put an album together,'" Richard told the music network."It's three years of making sure that people digested what we wanted to give them and they really appreciated the sound that was given."
This isn't Richard's first time in a music group. The singer was part of Combs' female band Danity Kane. The creation of the group was featured on the reality show called "Making the Band 3." Danity Kane was disbanded in a 2009 special that aired on MTV.
Diddy-Dirty Money's other member, Kalenna Harper, has penned songs for the likes of Christina Aguilera, Charlotte Church, and the Pussycat Dolls.
