"Tangled" debuted No. 2 over Thanksgiving weekend behind "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1," which had been at the top of the box office the two previous weekends.
"Harry Potter" fell to the No. 2 spot behind "Tangled" with $16.7 million. The next-to-last installment of the wizard franchise lifted its domestic haul to $244.2 million.
Christina Aguilera and Cher's "Burlesque" and Denzel Washington's thriller "Unstoppable" tied for the No. 3 spot with both movies pulling in $6.1 million.
Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway's romantic comedy "Love and Other Drugs" rounded out the top five with $5.7 million.
