Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and other cast members from the hit FOX musical sitcom "Glee" recently performed the song's breakout hit, a cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin', on the British singing contest show "The X Factor."
The actors wore the same gold outfits seen during their performance of the song on the season one finale of "Glee", which tells of a high school glee club. Their version of "Don't Stop Believin', a 1981 song that has become a popular contemporary rock anthem, recently earned "Glee" a Grammy nomination.
Michele, a former Broadway actress who plays attention-seeking glee club singer Rachel, was recently recognized as a "triple threat" by Billboard magazine during the publication's annual "Women in Music" luncheon in New York City.
"The X Factor" was created by Simon Cowell, who co-judges the show and is best known as the British acerbic former judge of FOX's hit U.S. singing competition series "American Idol". He is set to launch an American version of "The X Factor" for the network in September of 2011.
"Thanks for taking good care of us, London!" Monteith, who plays Finn, the on again, off again boyfriend of Michele's character Rachel, said on his Twitter page. "We had a really fun time! :) Can't wait to come back soon."
