Blake Shelton says the anticipated wedding between him and fellow country star Miranda Lambert is set to take place in the spring of 2011 and he is letting her do all the planning.
Shelton, 34, and Lambert, 27, began dating in 2006 and became engaged in May. They have often performed and written songs together.
Shelton told People magazine that they plan to wed in the spring, adding: "But that's a constantly changing event. Miranda is going to do this exactly how she wants to do it and I'm staying the hell out of the way."
Lambert has not commented on the date. She told reporters at a press conference following an announcement of the 2011 Grammy Award nominations that she was looking forward to getting married. She is nominated for five Grammys (See a full list of nominations).
Shelton was married to Kaynette Williams between 2003 and 2006. They have no children.
Hillary Scott of the country music group Lady Antebellum told the magazine that she and her band mates have been invited to Lambert's wedding and speculated that the singer would wear "something that shows off her curves."
Shelton recently won two prizes at the first American Country Awards, which took place on Monday (See a full list of winners). Lambert was nominated for five awards and lost them all to Carrie Underwood.
