Aretha Wilson, 40, was recently sentenced to two years in prison after pleading no contest to slashing Leonardo DiCaprio's face with a glass at a party five years ago.
Wilson had fled to Canada following the attack, which had forced the 36-year-old actor to require stitches. She was extradited over the summer and made to stand trial in Los Angeles.
The woman has been jailed in the city since July. The Associated Press quoted her lawyer as saying Wilson she will likely serve six months after the time she has already served behind bars is factored in and be deported to Canada following her release.
DiCaprio was a teen pin-up in the 1990s and became an overnight sensation with the movie "Titanic" in 1997. He recently starred in the sci-fi thriller "Inception".
