"Saturday Night Live" head writer and cast member Seth Meyers will be hosting the 2011 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, reports Politico.
The dinner is set to take place on April 30, one day after the highly anticipated Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Meyers, who tackles political commentary and jokes weekly on the "Weekend Update" segment of "Saturday Night Live," joins a long list of comedians to host the event including Jay Leno, Jon Stewart, Conan O'Brien, Stephen Colbert, and Wanda Sykes.
The 36-year-old comedian and writer hosted the 2010 ESPY Awards on ESPN, where according to Politico, he's set to host again in 2011. Meyers joined "Saturday Night Live" in 2001 and was promoted to head writer in 2006.
