Julia Roberts, one of the world's highest-paid actresses, was reportedly given $1.5 million to appear but not speak in a 45-second commercial for Lavazza, an Italian coffee company.

In the ad, which is set to air in Italy over the holiday season, the actress is depicted as Botticelli's Venus and stands in a cloud setting. She grins as she sips coffee offered by Italian entertainers Paolo Bonolis and Luca Laurenti.

Roberts, 43, was over the summer named No. 6 on Forbes' list of highest-paid actresses, having made $20 million. Over the past year, she has starred in movies such as 'Valentine's Day' and 'Eat Pray Love' and recently filmed the movie 'Larry Crowne', which also stars Tom Hanks and is due for release on July 1, 2011.

Other celebrities who have endorsed coffee products include George Clooney, who has filmed ads for Nespresso, and Al Pacino, who made his commercial acting debut earlier this year in a campaign for the family-owned Australian company Vittoria coffee.
