Loose scaffolding shuts parts of Wilshire

Loose scaffolding on a high rise on the 6300 block of Wilshire in the Miracle Mile area of L.A. posed a possibly dangerous situation, pushing officials to shut down a section of Wilshire Boulevard on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010.

A section of Wilshire Boulevard in the Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles remains closed Saturday due to loose scaffolding.Friday night, scaffolding on a high rise on the 6300 block of Wilshire began to pull away from the building.

As a result, both sides of Wilshire were shutdown.

Firefighters tried to shore up the scaffolding to prevent it falling down onto the street.

Officials say they will stay on the job until the danger has passed.
