R&B singer Ciara dished on her romantic life on "The Wendy Williams Show" on Monday, addressing rumors that she and rapper 50 Cent are an item.
Host Wendy Williams came straight out and asked Ciara about her relationship with the rapper. "That's like my best friend," Ciara replied. "He's been my best friend for years. So it's definitely positive energy. That's pretty much the situation."
Then Williams asked, "So no more romance involved but you're friends now?" To which Ciara replied, "No, no, I didn't say that. Don't put the story on me, but I am single now."
50 Cent has also been linked to comedian Chelsea Handler over the past few months. Though Handler has denied the rumors on her show, she and the rapper continued to poke fun at the rumors on Monday by posting photos on their respective Twitter accounts of Handler kissing 50 Cent on the cheek. Handler's Tweet reads, "I don't know why anyone thinks I would ever date a rapper."
Meanwhile, Ciara told Williams, "I haven't really had the chance to do like dating over the years from my relationship with the young Bow [Wow]." Ciara and rapper Bow Wow dated in 2003 but broke up in 2006.
"I just really want to take my time, because that's what it's about," Ciara said about entering the dating world while bending over backwards performing her signature "Matrix" move. Williams waved a hula-hoop over the singer's body while she performed the move to show there were no strings attached to the singer.
Cirara's new album "Basic Instinct" hit stored on December 14. Check out the interview with Ciara below:
