Mila Kunis is reportedly in talks to play the girlfriend of a man who is best friends with a foul-mouthed teddy bear in the new comedy movie "Ted", which is written and directed by "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane and may also star Mark Wahlberg.
Spokespeople for the parties had no immediate comment. Kunis has voiced Meg Griffin on most episodes of "Family Guy" since the FOX animated sitcom debuted in 1999.
"Ted" depicts a man whose magical childhood friend, a Teddy Bear, has "evolved into a cursing, smoking delinquent", the Hollywood Reporter said, adding that Wahlberg, who can currently be seen in the new boxing drama film "The Fighter", is in talks to play the grown-up.
Preliminary casting lists show the movie is set for release in 2012. Kunis, known as Jackie from the sitcom "That '70s Show" who recently played a sexy ballet dancer who challenges and appears to seduce Natalie Portman in the thriller "Black Swan", has been eyed for the part of his girlfriend, the trade publication said.
It said her character gets annoyed with her boyfriend's fuzzy pal and seeks comfort from her boss, who may be played by Adam Scott. He stars in the comedy series "Parks and Recreation" and played Will Ferrell's obnoxious brother in the movie "Step Brothers".
Scott's spokesperson said he could not yet confirm whether the actor was involved in talks to appear in "Ted".
