Chicago native Jennifer Hudson will use her talents to help Rahm Emanuel raise funds for his mayoral campaign in the singer's hometown.
Hudson will star in a special performance on behalf of the campaign according to The Chicago Sun-Times. According to the paper, Hudson met Emanuel at a White House performance in February to celebrate the civil rights movement.
The performance will take place on January 10th at the House of Blues in Chicago. It was also recently revealed that Hudson will perform on "Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve Special" along with rapper Drake, R&B singer NeYo, and Train at the end of the month.
The actress has had a life altering year and dropped dozens of pounds to go from a size 16 to a size 6.
