211 guns turned in at SB police event

SAN BERNARDNIO, Calif. The police department held its first ever "Groceries for Guns" program over the weekend.

The department partnered up with Food-4-Less to offer $10,000 worth of groceries in exchange for firearms.

In just three and a half hours, 211 guns were turned in, including illegal assault weapons like an AK47 and an Uzi.

The program was such a success, it had to be cut short, but police hope to bring it back with the help of donors.
