'Bad elf bandit' robs Thousand Oaks bank

Sheriff's deputies released a surveillance picture of a bank robber in Thousand Oaks in hopes that the public can help find the suspect.The man robbed a Bank of the West on Monday, giving the teller a note demanding cash.

The FBI dubbed the man the "bad elf bandit."

The man was described as black, clean-shaven, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 inches tall, and weighs about 165 pounds. He was last seen walking northbound on Moorpark Road from the bank.
