Demi Lovato has reportedly settled a dispute with her backup dancer, Alex "Shorty" Welch, who is said to have been involved in a confrontation that may have spurred the singer and actress to check into a treatment center for emotional and physical issues last month.
Lovato, the 18-year-old star of "Disney Channel" series "Sonny With a Chance," has not commented. Reports of the tussle were leaked to the press weeks after Lovato checked herself into a medical center, without disclosing her precise ailment or what prompted her to seek treatment. The singer had up until then kept a low profile and deleted her Twitter page.
"Any and all issues or dispute with Demi Lovato have been resolved amicably and completely," E! News recently quoted Welch's attorney as saying.
Lovato also starred in the Disney Channel film "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" with Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. She and the pop group had recently toured together. She and Jonas met while filming the first "Camp Rock" movie in 2007 and Lovato said in March that the two were dating. She announced in late May that she and Jonas had broken up, adding that they would remain friends.
