The stabbing victim was found early Friday morning on Spinnaker Avenue and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center. Police said she was in serious but stable condition Saturday.
Garcia was named as a suspect and police said she turned herself in with the help of the Port Hueneme Police Clergy Council.
Police believe Garcia was involved in a domestic dispute at a party where the victim was found. They said the victim attempted to intervene in a fight between Garcia and a boyfriend and was stabbed multiple times.
