iPhone software bug causing missed alarms

LOS ANGELES A bug in the phone's software is causing the alarms not to go off.

The bug was first reported on New Year's Day.

/*Apple*/ said they expect the glitch will fix itself by Monday. The glitch affects iPhones using Apple's latest iOS 4.0 operating system.

Back in November /*iPhone*/ users complained of missed alarms related to daylight savings time.

Competitors BlackBerry and Android reported no problems related to the new year.
