Chuck Berry suffered from exhaustion

CHICAGO A fire department spokesman said the 84-year old singer felt ill at the show and was checked out by medics Saturday night.

After saying he felt better, he left the venue in a limousine.

Berry's agent, Dick Alen said Sunday via e-mail Berry was suffering from exhaustion at the concert.

An audience member at the show said Berry fell face first onto a keyboard was helped offstage.

Officials did not comment on the audience member's version of what happened.

Berry is known for classic songs including "Maybelline," "Johnny B. Goode," and "Roll Over Beethoven."
