OTRC: Brad Womack, returning 'Bachelor': I've changed

Brad Womack of 'The Bachelor' speaks to ABC in a promotional interview for season 15 of the show, which premieres Jan. 3, 2011.

Brad Womack, who will try again to find the girl on his dreams on "The Bachelor," says he has "changed immensely" since the last time he starred on the ABC dating reality series.

Womack, a 38-year-old bar owner from Texas, stirred controversy in 2007 after fans saw him on the season 11 finale rejecting both finalists - Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas. He is now set to choose a new woman from among 30 contestants on the 15th season of "The Bachelor," which premieres on Monday.

"I've like to think I've changed immensely," Womack said in an interview with ABC. "Last time, I obviously walked away empty-handed. It allowed me to do some pretty extensive self-reflection and kind of grow up a little bit, mature a little bit and realize that if I keep having these walls and so on and so forth, I'm just going to end up alone."

Womack told reporters in December that his former "Bachelor" experience had a negative effect on his love life.

"After the show ended or after the finale aired, I took it upon myself, I didn't even want to go on dates, I didn't even want to date, but then once I did try to get out in the dating world ... people knew everything about me and some girls were just plain uninterested in getting involved in that." he said. "There was a national feeling of the fact that I couldn't commit."
