Neighbors saw the flames and jumped into action.
"We just started grabbing fire extinguishers and putting out the fire," said Jerry Rogers. "There was nothing else we could do."
Investigators say Christmas tree lights may have sparked the fire, but they don't have an official cause yet.
There are no signs of foul play. The victim's name was not released.
