Kristin Chenoweth tells OnTheRedCarpet.com she is set to return to "Glee" to reprise her role as April Rhodes.
Chenoweth's character was a high school drop-out who tried to make it on Broadway but became an alcoholic when her dreams failed to come true. At the end of her guest appearance, she had decided to get sober and return to Broadway. Though Chenoweth doesn't know what songs she will be performing, she is hoping to mix things up a bit with some opera and wine in a box.
"I think it might be interesting if April had a little opera in her, who knows, they haven't done that on 'Glee' yet! We'll see what happens, she might want to do it if she's had one too many martinis or Franzia, the wine out of a box she likes."
Chenoweth has also been working on a pilot which "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy has been writing for her. Though she kept mum on the details, Chenoweth hinted that the upcoming show would showcase her musical theater skills.
"I can't really say what it's about, otherwise I'll be killed. It's a really good idea and obviously, it will involve singing and dancing but it will be geared a little more towards older fans. Not old people, though I hope old people will watch it."
"Glee" will return for a special installment following the Super Bowl XLV on Sunday, February 6 at approximately 10:30-11:30 p.m. ET.
