Workouts improve prostate cancer survival odds

LOS ANGELES Prostate cancer patients who engaged in three or more hours a week of somewhat vigorous activity, like swimming, jogging or tennis, showed the most benefit.

The more active they were, the higher their rate of survival.

But experts are quick to point out that even modest amounts of exercise had impact.

There are several reasons why exercise may improve survival rates: for example, it lowers inflammation and boosts immunity.
