Orange alligator spotted in Fla. neighborhood

VENICE, Fla. Neighbors spotted an orange gator in Venice earlier this week and started snapping pictures of it.

How the reptile may have come to be this color is still a mystery. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the alligator may have been painted or stained orange, or something in the environment caused the tint.

One woman suggested it may also be an albino.

There's no word if officials plan to capture the gator, but some residents say he's more than welcome in their neighborhood.
