Couple vies to win 'Lucy'-themed wedding

LOS ANGELES "Lucy" fans are involved in a nationwide contest right now to win a one-of-a-kind wedding experience. The competition is down to five final couples, including one from Southern California.

Belinda Campos and Jonathan Moctezuma will live in Ontario, California, when they marry.

But if they're lucky enough to win this contest: "We get an 'I Love Lucy' 1950s-theme wedding with us and 50 guests in Jamestown, New York."

A homemade video made them finalists.

"I mean, we really, truly need your help," said Jonathan. "We need a vote once a day per day up until February 11th."

Belinda and Jonathan entered the contest via MediaOneBridal.com.

She's a lifelong "Lucy" fan, but that's probably obvious to you by now. The show holds special meaning to her.

"My first language was Spanish and by watching 'I Love Lucy,' I learned how to speak English," said Belinda.

"Everybody wants to live the American dream and right now, Jonathan and I have a great opportunity to live ours," said Belinda. "We both came from low-income communities. We always worked our way to the top and this is just something to start our lives into a happy marriage."

To win, they need support. Belinda is using her car to help, and they're both using their communities.

"Jonathan and I have gone to council meetings to ask the mayor and the city councils of Baldwin Park and Ontario to vote for us and to spread the news," said Belinda.

You could say they're having a "ball."

"You're going to give and take, as a matter of fact, to make a marriage work," said Jonathan. "And I don't mind, you know? It makes her happy and that's what truly makes me happy."
