Cross-eyed opossum attracts crowds at zoo

BERLIN

The cross-eyed opossum is 2 years old and is living at the Leipzig Zoo in Germany. She's originally from South Carolina but was brought to the Germany zoo because she couldn't survive alone in the wild.

Fat deposits behind her eyes are causing her to go cross eyed, but Heidi doesn't seem to mind.

In fact, Heidi is now so popular she has her own Facebook page.

Since the first photos were published in December, the marsupial has attracted more Facebook followers than Chancellor Angela Merkel - more than 110,000 by Wednesday.
