Utah's high-tech, crime-fighting blimp

OGDEN, Utah But it's not a helicopter or a plane. It's an unmanned blimp that can fly 40 miles per hour for up to seven hours at a time.

The blimp is loaded with one high-definition camera that sends live video of license plate numbers or faces to police.

The other infrared camera can find moving cars or people in total darkness.

Police in Ogden would place the blimp over high crime areas at night to catch criminals.

And don't think about shooting the blimp down. It's filled with non-flammable helium in multiple chambers.
