Riverside storm claims top $160,000

RIVERSIDE, Calif. The Riverside Press Enterprise reports the city has received close to 30 claims seeking about $160,000 in compensation.

Riverside's city attorney says the claims blame the city for everything from flooding to cars damaged by gigantic potholes.

The newspaper reports six claims are linked to one pothole, which one resident says is three feet long and six inches deep.

City officials expect more claims to be filed before the deadline.
