Vanessa Williams hit "Desperate Housewives" this season as the newest woman on Wisteria Lane. The actress and singer plays Renee Perry, Lynette Scavo's (Felicity Huffman) old college acquaintance.
Perry has shaken up the women on the show by making enemies with Bree (Marcia Cross) and Gaby (Eva Longoria). OnTheRedCarpet.com caught up with Williams at the BAFTA Los Angeles' 17th Annual Awards Season Tea Party on January 15 where she talked about how much fun she's having on the show and dished about an upcoming storyline with her and Terri Hatcher's character Susan.
This season Susan is in desperate need of a kidney transplant because of injuries she sustained after being trampled during a riot. The character has not been able to find a match.
"Well Susan (Hatcher) is still working on her Kidney issue because she has to get a donor and she's on dialysis," Williams says. "We're about to shoot an episode where I try to make her use her ailment to get us into a fashionable restaurant in town and it kind of backfires."
"Desperate Housewives" continues its seventh season Sundays on ABC at 9 p.m. ET
