Woman kidnapped as baby reunites with mom

NEW YORK Carlina White was just 19 days old when she was kidnapped from a New York hospital.

She was raised by Ann Pettway, but came to suspect that Pettway was not her biological mother.

With help from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, White found her real mother, confirmed by DNA tests. They reunited on Saturday.

"Just like she'd been around us all our life. She wasn't no stranger, she was just, you know, just fit right in," said Elizabeth White, the kidnapped woman's grandmother.

"Carlina was a missing link, and we have gotten her back, in the name of Jesus, hallelujah, hallelujah," said Pat Conway, the woman's aunt.

Police have not said whether they consider Pettway a suspect in the kidnapping.
