CORONA, Calif. --
Charles Manson follower Patricia Krenwinkel was denied parole Thursday night after a hearing at California Institution for Women in Corona, where she has spent the last 40 years. The 63-year-old Krenwinkel was convicted for her part in the 1969 murders of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca at their Los Feliz home.
The tearful Krenwinkel said she was ashamed of her actions, but claimed she has been rehabilitated.
That generated an angry response from Debra Tate, sister of Manson murder victim Sharon Tate.
Krenwinkle will not be eligible for another parole hearing for seven years.
