NY mom on mission to stop obesity in family

NEW YORK For breakfast, MeMe Roth's kids eat egg whites and veggies. Before they head to school, she feeds them fish oil pills.

Roth also has a policy of no sugar during the school week, and her kids also go to the gym after school and exercise one hour every day.

"When I see a child who's already over weight at 4, I'm furious because it's hard to make a child overweight," she said. "Their metabolism is blitzing. So if your child is already overweight, you're feeding them so poorly."

Roth has founded National Action against Obesity, which she uses to raise awareness about unhealthy eating habits passed from generation to generation. She blames parents and schools for serving junk food to children.

Some dieticians say her methods are too harsh and can lead to binge eating of junk food.
