Chicago car salesman dons Packers tie, fired

CHICAGO John Stone said he was fired from his job because he wore a /*Green Bay Packers*/ tie to work at a suburban Chicago car dealership.

Stone said he offered to zip up his jacket to cover the tie, but his boss, manager Jerry Roberts wasn't having it.

Roberts explained that customers were bound to complain, so he fired Stone to prevent potential problems.

Despite living in Chicago, Stone said his grandmother taught him to be a Packers fan.

Stone may not be out of work long. He's already been offered a job at another Chicago-area Chevrolet dealership.
