It seems that music's biggest names are infiltrating corporate America.
A year after Lady Gaga was given the title of creative director at Polaroid, Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am announced on his Twitter page, "Its official. I just became the Director of Creative Innovation for Intel."
He added, "Every beat I make is made with Intel. And now were partners." Intel, the largest computer chip manufacturer, confirmed the news in a statement on their official blog on Tuesday.
"Will.i.am will engage in a multi-year, hands-on creative and technology collaboration with Intel Corporation," the statement read. It also included photos of will.i.am talking with members of Intel and showing off his company identification card.
"We're thrilled to tap into the limitless creativity will.i.am brings to the table," Deborah Conrad, Intel vice president and chief marketing officer, said in the statement. "He's not only a brilliant artist and producer, but also an innovator pushing the bounds of technology professionally and personally."
The company says that the musician, whose real name is William James Adams Jr., will also collaborate with them on products like laptops, smart phones and tablets.
