One of two vehicles involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Hawthorne may have been found, police said.

Jose Samayoa died last Wednesday after being hit near 120th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard. Police believe the 57-year-old was later hit by a second vehicle.

Neither one of the drivers stopped.

Police say they've impounded a vehicle that was seen leaving the area of the collision and contacted the person who had been driving it. It's believed to be the second vehicle.

Police are still looking for the initial hit-and-run driver. They say the suspect may have been driving a light gray or white 2007 Ford Freestar minivan.

Anyone with information related to the case is urged to call the Hawthorne Police Department at (310) 349-2711.
