The puppy involved in a high-speed chase and crash in Covina is safe and in good hands.

On Monday night, a pursuit ended in a horrific crash and cameras caught Prince jumping from the suspect's car.

The little dog disappeared, but a Good Samaritan found him and kept him overnight.

Prince was taken to the Pasadena Humane Society.

"Our officers brought Prince here last night. We took him to the vet to make sure he is fine, and he is. He's adorable and cute and energetic. He'll be hear until the owner is able to decide who can take care of him," said Ricky Whitman of the Pasadena Humane Society.

Prince could eventually be put up for adoption.

The pursuit suspect, 45-year-old Edgar Angarita, remained hospitalized and will face several felony charges.

The young woman driving the other car also remained hospitalized with serious injuries.
