OTRC: Charlie Sheen thought to be suffering from hernia

Actor Charlie Sheen was rushed to the hospital early Thursday morning for severe abdominal pains, which the actor's spokesperson confirmed to KABC-TV.

"I have no firsthand knowledge of any of this," the actor's publicist said. "I have heard all of rumors you have. He has had a history of having this type of hernia, and the person who made the 911 call said he had severe stomach pains and said it was from a hernia condition."

His representation cautioned that the woman who called 911 is not a doctor, so the condition is merely an educated guess given Sheen's condition and previous experience with hernias.

Sheen's father Martin Sheen and ex-wife Denis Richards were seen visiting the actor at Cedars-Sinai hostpital. His estranged wife has not paid a visit and told X17online, "I'm not going to the hospital, Charlie's doing good."

This is the second time in 6 months that Sheen was brought to the hospital following a late night partying. The 45-year-old "Two and a Half Men" star was reportedly partying with several adult film stars late into the evening, including porn star Kacey Jordan, who Tweet an elicit photo from inside the actor's home.

On October 25, the actor was hospitalized after spending the night at New York's Plaza Hotel with porn star Capri Anderson who said that Sheen became intoxicated and was yelling and throwing furniture at her. The morning after the incident, police stormed Sheen's hotel room and the actor was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was released hours later. His spokesperson had said at the time that the actor had reacted badly to medication.

The actor pleaded guilty in August 2010 to a misdemeanor assault charge regarding a December confrontation his third wife Brooke Mueller in Colorado and was sentenced to 30 days in a rehabilitation center, 30 days of probation and 36 hours of anger management. They have both undergone stints in rehab.

Sheen's CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men" is currently on hiatus, so filming will not be interupted by the star's hospital stay.
