The incident happened in the 2500 block of Huntington Lane as the boy walked home from school at 3 p.m. Thursday. Authorities say as the boy passed a parked car, the driver opened the door and tried to talk the boy into the vehicle.
The child ran off and told his mother, who called police.
The man was described as Hispanic, about 50 years old, with dark short hair and a heavy build. He was driving an older four-door sedan, gray or silver.
Police say it might be the same man who exposed himself to children in Redondo Beach last November.
