Inappropriate photos taken of 3-yr-old girl

ANAHEIM, Calif.

A father, his wife and two kids were at the laundromat, located on the 1000 block of North State College Boulevard, on Jan. 16.

"At one point he places the 3-year-old daughter on the counter as he folds the laundry," said Anaheim police spokesman Sgt. Rick Martinez. "The child being a child, she's wearing a small skirt. She's sitting there and her underwear could be visible."

The suspect crouches down with his cell phone camera and takes a photo up the girl's skirt.

"The guy takes a picture of the little girl and it's scary," said Anaheim resident Elisabeth Carbajal. "I have one daughter."

"It's very very disgusting. I just didn't know anyone would do something like that," said laundromat owner Howard Lee. Lee's security cameras caught the suspect in the act.

"Our customer's safety is our number one concern," said Lee, who was surprised that the act took place with customers nearby.

"Sunday is super busy for us," said Lee. "We could have 50 or 60 customers. This place is jam-packed."

"The fact it appears so brazen, shows us he's not afraid to take that risk and he probably has some experience in this," said Sgt. Martinez.

Police say before anyone could react, the suspect quickly left the laundromat. It's not clear if he left in a vehicle.

Police believe the suspect is a Hispanic man in his mid 20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was unshaven and wearing a light green shirt and dark pants. He also carried a backpack.

Anyone with information is urged to call Anaheim police at (714) 765-1455.
