Jaime Pressly, an Emmy-winning actress who starred on the comedy series "My Name is Earl," filed for divorce from her husband of 15-months, entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, citing irreconcilable differences.
The divorce papers, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, cited December 27 as the date of separation. The couple had no children together and Pressly is seeking to deny Singh any spousal support.
Pressly and Singh got married in September 2009 at the Dick Clark estate in Malibu.
Pressly has a 3-year-old son, Dezi with her former fiance Eric Cubiche.
Pressly's rep declined to comment.
Pressly was recently arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of drunk driving and spent a night in jail, the incident occurred nine days after Pressly cited that the marriage ended in the divorce papers.
The actress also reportedly owes more than $637,000 in Federal and state taxes.
Pressly played Joy Turner on "My Name is Earl," which starred Jason Lee, from 2005 to 2009. She has also starred in films such as "Can't Hardly Wait" in 1998 and "I Love You Man" in 2009.
