Ryan Seacrest is in talks to join the A-list cast of "New Year's Eve," which will follow the lives of several couples and singles in New York, whose stories intertwine on New Year's Eve.
Unlike the rest of the cast, Seacrest would be playing himself in the film, which will be directed by Garry Marshall who also directed "Valentine's Day," which had a similar theme.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, New Line Cinema also confirmed this week that Ice Cube is in negotiations to play a cop and Josh Duhamel has signed on as a hopeless romantic who's visiting New York.
Seacrest has played himself in several comedies including "Get Smart" and "Knocked Up."
The movie also stars Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Lea Michele, Halle Berry, Ashton Kutcher, Sofia Vergara, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sienna Miller, Hilary Swank and Jessica Biel, among others.
"New Year's Eve" is set for release on December 9, 2011.
