OTRC: Heidi Klum talks 'Seriously Funny Kids' and tells a story her daughter might 'hate'

Heidi Klum sheds light on how 'Seriously Funny Kids' came to be and tells a story her daughter might 'hate.'

Heidi Klum is taking on more hosting duties with her new show "Seriously Funny Kids," which premieres on Tuesday, February 1, on Lifetime.

The 37-year-old former model talked to OnTheRedCarpet.com about the show and how it came to be. "I worked on a show called, 'I Get That A Lot' and the man who I did this with, Eric Schotz, he said to me you know, 'Why don't you do something with Children?'" Klum said. "We came up with 'Seriously Funny Kids.' Because, there's nothing out there right now with children and showing the innocent beauty of children, how they just chat and don't really process too much of what they say."

Comedian Bill Cosby hosted a similar show called Kids Say the Darndest Things from 1998 to 2001. The series was based on a feature from Art Linkletter's television series, Art Linkletter's House Party, which aired in the 1950s and 1960s.

Klum, a German native, has four children. Her husband Seal is the father of Henry, 5, Johan, 3 and daughter Lou, who recently turned 1. Klum also has a 6-year-old daughter Leni from a previous relationship.

Lifetime has ordered 20 half-hour episodes of her new show. The show is produced by Klum, Schotz - who also produced the Cosby version of "Kids Say the Darndest Things"- and Desiree Gruber and Jane Cha of "Project Runway."

When the mother of four asked what she thought of the finished product, she said, "I love the way it came out, it's a lot of fun."

So how does Klum, who also pulls hosting duties for "Project Runway" in addition to her duties on "Seriously Funny Kids" juggle all of her priorities? "I like what I do, I like to work I like my work," Klum says. "It's not like a drag for me to go to work. We have so much fun on the set and I love what I do."
