Police say she was running on the track at Pleasant Valley Fields on Wednesday night when she was approached from behind and punched. She was injured but managed to fight off the suspect.
The attacker was described as being about 30 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 inches tall, weighs 170 to 200 pounds, has a medium build and was wearing dark shorts and a T-shirt.
