Hugh Jackman has offered some advice to this year's Oscar hosts, Anne Hathaway and James Franco.
"Have fun!" Jackman told People magazine. "Enjoy the gala! Enjoy the first hour, the first hour and a half. From that moment on, there are a lot of seat fillers out there and people who are really tired."
Jackman also urged the young co-hosts to to eat.
"It's a long show," the actor told E! Online. "I actually took out cookies during one of the commercial breaks because I had a note from my wife saying 'You're doing a great job' and I was really hungry. So we had some cookies and I got mobbed! You've never seen anything like it. All these A-list actors just mobbing for me chocolate chip cookies."
Jackman hosted the Oscars on his own in 2009 and started the awards show by pulling Hathaway on-stage for a song and dance tribute to the nominated films. The Australian "X-Men" actor was praised for his energy and musical performances during Oscar night 2009.
Hathaway later admit to people that being carried on stage by Jackman was her favorite moment from the evening.
Last week, promo videos were released showing co-hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco preparing for their big day. The 83rd annual Academy Awards will air live from Hollywood's Kodak Theatre on Sunday, February 27, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
