Comedian Adam Sandler received a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

Sandler, 44, received the 2,431st star which will be located 6262 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Hollywood W Hotel.

His "Waterboy" co-star Henry Winkler and his "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" co-star Kevin James introduced the actor. Winkler said that his first interaction with Sandler was calling the comedian to thank him for including him in his "Chanukah Song," which listed famous Jewish actors.

Kevin James did a stand-up routine honoring the actor, saying some rather risqué things considering Sandler's young daughters, Sadie and Sunny were on hand for the occasion.

"Enjoy the magic of this moment, buddy," James said. "Because tomorrow a pre-op transsexual will be turning tricks on your name. Well, if my words fall short, there is no greater tribute I can pay you than the fact that I'm wearing slacks. I don't wear slacks for anyone except for the people I love. And court appearances. Adam, I love you buddy."

Sandler's wife, actress Jacqueline Samantha Titone stood by Sandler as the two attempted to rein in their daughters who each offered an 'I love you daddy' to the microphone.

"I looked at some of the other stars and I think mine shines a little brighter than most. I hate saying that out loud," Sandler joked with OnTheRedCarpet.com. "My name looks beautiful. The star is beautiful itself. I like the amount of marble. And I think it's a well-deserved honor for such a sweet, sweet man."

Sandler is one of the most successful comedians in Hollywood, known for movies "Billy Madison," "The Wedding Singer," "50 First Dates," "Funny People" and "Grown Ups." He also starred on five seasons of "Saturday Night Live" during the 1990s.

The funny man is gearing up for the release of his new romantic comedy "Just Go with It," co-starring Jennifer Aniston and Brooklyn Dekker. The film hits theaters on February 11.
