Ex-LA health inspector jailed on sex charge

POMONA, Calif.

Deputy District Attorney Daniel Rochmes said Magdy Naiem Tawadros, 51, was sentenced to 115 days in county jail and three years probation.

Pomona Superior Court Judge David Brougham also ordered Tawadros to register for life as a sex offender and pay restitution to the victim. That amount will be determined at a future hearing.

Brougham also issued a criminal protective order prohibiting Tawadros from approaching or contacting the woman or going to her place of business.

Tawadros was charged in May of last year for assaulting the victim at her Pomona donut shop on March 24, 2010.
