Natural History Museum in DC opens after fire

WASHINGTON

Fortunately, nothing in the museum was damaged.

The fire started in a separate building that houses the museum's heating and air conditioning equipment. It was put out before it could spread to the museum itself.

The museum opened to visitors shortly after its regular opening of 10 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
