It all started when a couple discovered their car had been broken into and their laptop and some mail had been stolen.
When police arrived, they noticed that there was only one set of footprints in the snow leading to the car, so they followed them.
A half mile later, they found some of the couple's mail in a cemetery. A half mile after that, the footprints led right to the suspect's front door.
"We actually saw the footprints leading up the staircase to the apartment that the suspect lived in," said an officer.
