Grace Guajardo's phony threat forced the evacuation of more than 300 people from a plane just moments before takeoff on Sunday.
One of those passengers was her boyfriend who was on his way to Spain to take a months-long job on a cruise ship.
Desperate to keep him in Chile, Guajardo said she called the airport to report there was a bomb on the plane.
"I'm sorry, but I did it for love," Guajardo said Monday.
The threat worked. Her boyfriend is staying in /*Chile*/ and said he's not angry with her.
She faces up to 61 days in jail for the threat if she is convicted. Prosecutors decided not to invoke the more severe anti-terrorism law after hearing the couple's story.
